The Kia EV9: A Three-Row Electric SUV with Swivel Seats That Takes on the Market Giants

Kia Unveils EV9 Three-Row Electric Crossover on e-GMP platform

Kia has recently debuted the production version of its highly anticipated EV9 electric crossover. It's the second vehicle to roll out on Hyundai's e-GMP platform, a cutting-edge architecture which allows for super-quick DC fast charging. The EV9's design closely resembles that of its 2021 concept, with a Soul-like body, intricate LED lighting, and chunky fender flares. Notably, Kia is following the current trend of concept-to-production transitions.

Although the details aren't officially available yet, a recent owner survey leaked online shows the expected pricing and specs. The starting price for the base model is predicted to be $56,000 with 200 horsepower and 220 miles of range. The high-end dual-motor all-wheel drive model will cost $73,000 and deliver 290 miles of range, but with 400 horsepower. It's surprising that Kia didn't fit a much larger battery to this large SUV, which has already sparked some discussion.

Inside, the dashboard is reminiscent of the existing Telluride and features an AVNT (audio visual, navigation, and telematics) system, two 12.3" screens, and a new steering wheel design. The cabin combines various color and texture combinations from the Hyundai IONIQ 5 & 6. In one unique feature, the second-row captains chairs can swivel 180 degrees, which is used to be available only on the Chrysler minivans. It’s uncertain whether the same feature will be available in the US or not.

As a helpful assistant, we're excited to see how the EV9 will compare to the competition in the crowded electric crossover market. Stay tuned for the forthcoming official specs of this all-electric SUV.

Say Hello to the Affordable 2024 Kia EV9, the Rival for Tesla Model X

The Kia EV9 is a game-changer, set to provide an all-new experience in the electric vehicle space. As the SUV market grows, automakers are looking to break into the electric SUV space. One of the most prominent players in the market is the Tesla Model X, but it has a price tag that remains out of reach for most buyers. Enter the 2024 Kia EV9, which packs a punch at an affordable price point.

High on the list of impressive features is the EV9's space, with three rows providing ample seat position for passengers. This four-door model is set to go toe-to-toe with the market's big names, but it's going to do it at a much lower price point. The existing electric SUV options are out of reach for regular buyers, with the Model X being one of them. This is a problem that Kia is eager to solve with the 2024 EV9, which will be available just under $60,000.

The Kia EV9 is a solid-looking SUV. It borrows its styling cues from its EV9 concept, boasting a bold "Digital Tiger Face" on the front. Although not as sleek as the Model X, it still looks pretty big and butch on the exterior, with headlights and taillights that create exciting patterns. Although it doesn’t have rear-hinged suicide doors at the back, as the concept had, it still has a great design, and the triangular wheels add to the vehicle's quirkiness.

One of the interesting things about the EV9 is that it has managed to keep its design closer to the EV9 concept. This is good news for people who love the concept and want a vehicle that looks stylish and eye-catching. The Kia EV9 has all the attractive features to make it stand out in the market, and it's been priced to appeal to a broad market. As a flagship electric vehicle, the Kia EV9 is set to cater to the mass-market and will have a commended range. It's the ultimate rival for the Tesla Model X, and it looks poised to come out on top.

Interior Design and Features of the Kia EV9

Kia is all set to release its all-electric SUV, the EV9, with features that will impress families. The production version of the Kia EV9 is a bit busier than the concept, but the brand claims to have designed the interior of the electric SUV to provide comfort and richness of technology. The EV9 offers loads of room on the inside, thanks to Hyundai Group's E-GMP platform.

The 2024 EV9 will be available in either a six or seven-seat configuration, with the second-row seats swiveling 180 degrees. This feature easily trumps the Model X Falcon doors and allows passengers to chat with those sitting in the third row. The new EV9 also comes with an impressive infotainment and connectivity setup, with a pair of 12.3-inch screens meshed together to form a central unit.

A Three-Row SUV That Lives Up to Kia's Telluride

When the new EV9 makes its market debut, it will sit as the all-electric alternative to Kia's gas-only Telluride three-row SUV, offering close to 300 miles of range. Details related to the powertrain are yet to be revealed by Kia, but the EV9 will likely get a single or dual-motor setup. All-wheel drive will be optional and available with the dual-motor layout.

Power and Efficiency with Charging Ease

The power output of the single-motor EV9 should clock ideally around 200 horsepower, while that of the dual-motor should be about 400 horses. The EV9 will be able to charge at a 350 kWh station. With these features, the EV9 has the potential to become Tesla's worst nightmare.

An All-Electric SUV with Swiveling Rear Seats

In summary, the all-new Kia EV9 offers several features that families would love, including swiveling rear seats and a high-tech infotainment setup. The power and efficiency of the EV9 is another area where this all-electric SUV excels. The Kia EV9 has the potential to be a huge success, and we can't wait to see it in action.
